First watchOS 5.1.3 and iOS 12.1.2 Developer Betas Released

Apple is constantly bringing improvements and in order to do that, it makes sure that its operating systems receive constant updates. While iOS 12.1.1 was released recently, it appears that the first iOS 12.1.2 developer beta has been released already. The watchOS 5.1.3 version was also released for beta testers. These updates come with  “bug fixes and improvements”.

If you are a registered developer you can download iOS 12.1.2 right away. They are available via OTA mechanism or through the Apple Developer Center. An adequate profile has to be installed from the Developer Center.

Testing watchOS 5.1.3 beta 1 is also possible, but you have to make sure that you have a proper configuration profile. The update comes with the build number 16S5523a. You should know that it can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center. In order to get the latest version on your Apple Watch, you can download it through the Apple Watch app that is available on iPhone. Go to General and then select Software Update. Your iPhone should have at least iOS 12.1 for this to work, and you have to place it close to the watch.

When it comes to iOS 12.1.2 beta, it is a bit too early to say what it brings new. It appears that this update might solve the connectivity issues that some users had to deal with.

However, you shouldn’t expect any major changes with this update. It is very likely that this update came with some bug fixes and minor improvements. After all, each update comes with performance enhancements.

The same thing goes for watchOS 5.1.3. Don’t expect a big update, as that is not the case. If you want to know exactly what’s available with this update, you might have to wait a little more.
