Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 3: All The Leaks And Information Gathered In One Place

Fans waiting for the next Plants vs Zombies game might have to wait a bit longer. The game is supposed to be a followup for Garden Warfare 2 which was released back in 2016.

The only official information we received so far was from an EA forum post that said that “no announcement regarding [Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3] has been made at this time.” However, there is plenty of unofficial information to go by.

Leaks and speculations

Back in spring fans noticed something interesting on Amazon UK. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Volume 2 was listed there and its description mentioned that the book will connect Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3. The official description for the item was the following:

“Paul Tobin returns to write the official comic book bridge between video games PvZ: GW2 and PvZ: GW3 with Tim Lattie returning to deliver artwork.”

Studio head Jade Raymond also mentioned udring an interview that the Vancouver studio is working on a Plants versus Zombies project. Other sources also offered us plenty of reasons to speculate:

“Conventional wisdom would suggest that a new, high-profile studio like Motive might be drafted in for a Garden Warfare 2 sequel, possibly alongside PopCap Games,” wrote Xbox Achievements Richard Walker.

The game

The game is supposed to follow Garden Warfare 2, and it is also expected to be a third-person shooter or a tower defense. In the previous game, we received eight new classes, so there should be some new additions in this game as well.

Since for Garden Warfare 2 a beta testing took place in January, the same thing might happen for the upcoming game. This would make 2019 a viable release date for Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 3. There have also been many shooter releases this year, so it would be more likely to receive the game next year.
