Older Consoles will No Longer Receive Minecraft Updates

In this century, technology became an important part of people’s lives. We cannot see our existence without a smartphone, tablet, PC or other gadgets which are useful in every situation. However, things are changing fast and devices turn into outdated technique soon after they are released. When this happens, they cannot support updated items and people have to change them with newer pieces.

Gaming consoles are one of those devices that lose their capacity to support modern releases and this affects the new games’ functionality. Now, we’ve reached the moment when PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, and Wii U won’t receive Minecraft updates anymore.

Developers announced their intention of ending the Minecraft era on outdated consoles since May this year. The idea became reality on December 18th, when 4J used Twitter to announce that, these days, outdated consoles will receive their last Minecraft update.

Nostalgic fans are not happy with this decision, but all they can do is enjoy the new version of their favourite game. They can play it on Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and Wii U.

The update comes with a lot of interesting features

The new version of Minecraft is called the Nightmare before Christmas. It includes a new Mash-Up Pack loaded with innovative characters and themed items.

Players can wear the skins of Jack Skellington, Sally, Doctor Finklestein, Santa Claus and other residents from Halloween Town. In addition, the update comes with Pandas and new rewards. Fans have the possibility to acquire six new trophies.

Changes can be noticed in the technical area as well. Some minor bugs have been fixed, so now a few dye colours and bamboo have been added. These features can be used for feeding the Pandas and building scaffolding when other Minecraft updates are included.
