Find Out How To Solve Chrome Bookmarks’ Issues

Users have experienced some issues related to Google Chrome’s bookmarks. That is really a shame since bookmarks are one of the most useful features. If you experienced any of those problems, we have listed the solutions that can be used.

But before we talk about how you can fix them, let’s list the issues that you might encounter. For example, for many users, Chrome bookmarks were duplicating. For others, the bookmarks weren’t syncing or they couldn’t be deleted.

Solutions

There are multiple solutions that you can try in order to get rid of those issues.

  • Take a look at the antivirus settings

Your antivirus might also affect the Google Chrome bookmarks. That is why you might want to take a look at its settings. You can also try to disable the antivirus for a short period of time and see if anything has changed. If the problem is gone, this means that the antivirus was its cause and you need to do something about it.

  • Sign out and then back into the Google account

Since bookmarks are connected to your Google account you need to make sure that this isn’t what is causing trouble. Try signing out of your account and then signing back in. Just go to Settings and click the Sign out button. Restart the browser and sign back in, then check whether you still encounter the same issue.

  • Bookmark syncing might be enabled

Sometimes your bookmarks won’t sync because syncing is in fact not enabled. In order to make sure that it is after all enabled you need to go to Menu, select Settings and then select Sync. Check Bookmarks or Sync everything. Restart the browser and see if the problem is still there.

  • Clear your cache

Clearing your cache might help you get rid of the problem. Go to Menu > Settings, then scroll down and click Advanced. Then select Clear browsing data.
