The jailbreaking community had plenty of highs and lows. Whenever it appears that hope is lost, something new is announced. This time, jailbreak lovers have another reason to dream about a standalone tool for an iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak.
There are many developers working to bring back jailbreaking to its former glory. Tihmstar is one of those developers and for quite some time he has been trying to port the KPP bypass to iOS 11. Back on January 12, he posted a new update on his Twitter account, and it appears that things are starting to look better.
“i finished the exploit enough to be useful for my purpose, which is porting the KPP bypass to iOS 11(.2.6 and up). However i unfortunatelly can’t release the exploit standalone (as planned originally) just yet, since that would interfere with other peoples projects :(“ tweeted tihmstar
Is jailbreak on its way?
The second tweet posted by Tihmstar appears to be even more important and it gives us reasons to hope that an iOS 11.4.1 Jailbreak might be on its way. Here is what the developer tweeted on January 12:
“But keep you headphone jacks and lightning adapters excited and stay on iOS 11! If you’re not jailbroken, stay unjailbroken. If you area jailbroken already, that’s fine aswell. There is something cool coming #etason™ ;)”
This tweet can definitely represent a proof that the iOS 11.4.1 Jailbreak might be released soon. If that will indeed happen, it would mean that Apple’s efforts to stop the jailbreaking community were in vain. Nonetheless, if a new jailbreak tool is released, there is also a chance that Apple will work to identify the vulnerabilities which made it possible in order to remove them as soon as possible. We can only wait to see what future will bring us.
