Troy Baker Teased ‘Death Stranding’ Release Date on Twitter

Just recently, social media was flooded with #2009vs2019 or #10yearchallenge, where users posted on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram photos of them ten years ago and this year. The world soon began making jokes about politics, celebrities and so on, but in the end, we all know everyone got hit by nostalgia.

Was Troy Baker one of the nostalgic people? Thanks to this new challenge, he might have even teased the release date of Death Stranding!

Death Stranding Release Date Teased

Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding was presented at the Game Awards in December 2018, and the game creator said that 2019 would bring “big news.” Things have been quiet ever since and now Baker posts this photo:

Troy Baker is the actor cast for the leading role in Death Stranding, so his post obviously shows that the game will be released this year. Everything rumored and hinted so far points to 2019.

Death Stranding is a TBA title set for 2019, but as with all TBA 2019, the schedule is not set in stone – any delay could happen.

However, this post which we might just vaguely interpret, could actually be true, considering Hideo Kojima’s interview, hinted that Death Stranding would be released this year:

Is 2019 the year of the Whale? Please look forward to Death Stranding!

Since the game was revealed, whale images were connected to the game. The first teaser from 2016 showed beached whales on the horizon.

Is it any surprise that Death Stranding is the most highly anticipated game in 2019? Even Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the film Director of Metal Gear Solid said that he could not wait for this title:

Today I watched Kojima-San direct a cutscene. I’ve watched hours of his cinematics and witnessing one in real life was beyond special. Death Stranding is unlike anything you’ve seen. Get excited.

We are more than excited!
