New Web Interface Rolling Out For Twitter, Dark Mode Coming Soon

A new web design is now available for Twitter. The interface comes with several improvements and a couple new features that should come in handy while tweeting. At the moment the new interface is available only to a couple of users, and we don’t know yet when the update will become available for all users. Twitter announced the web design through a tweet:

The new interface brings a couple of shortcuts. For example, you can now add emoji to your tweet by pressing a button that has been added to the tweet box. You will be able to choose between different categories of emojis, and you will even have a Recent section where you can see the emojis that you used recently.

The new design also has a modified trending section which is placed in the right side of the page. The update also makes it simpler to see the users involved in a conversation. In addition to that, there are only two columns instead of three in the Twitter desktop version.

Dark mode coming soon

If you paid attention to the Twitter dark mode you might notice that it uses dark blue instead of black. One user complained about this issue on Twitter, and he received a response from Jack Dorsey, the Twitter CEO:

Was just talking about this with @kayvz. Will fix.

This means that we can expect an improved dark mode in the future as well. This would be appreciated by all users, as the dark mode saves the battery life and it is also easier on the eyes during nighttime.
