The waiting is almost over when it comes to Mortal Kombat 11. The game series is still going strong after all these years, and the next game in the series will be launched on April 23 Mortal Kombat 11 will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The new game with come with numerous new characters, returning characters, as well as some familiar faces that will now be playable. Characters are still being announced, and a new name has been added to the list recently. It appears that Jade will be part of the upcoming game, which isn’t exactly a surprise, considering the fact that she is a classic character.

Jade first appeared in the Mortal Kombat universe back in 1993 when the game was launched. Players could only unlock this character by solving certain clues. Then, in 1995, Jade became a playable character in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. We also had a chance to learn more about her origins, as she was one of the assassins of the emperor Shao Kahn.

However, Jade wasn’t featured in as many games as we would’ve liked. The last time she made an appearance was in the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot. However, fans will be able to have fun playing her once again as she will return for Mortal Kombat 11.

We must mention however that Jade was resurrected from the dead and she is now a servant of the Netherrealm. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. You can watch the official Jade reveal trailer here. Jade was announced just after we found out last week that Kabal and D’Vorah will also show up in Mortal Kombat 11.
