It is very hard to keep a secret nowadays, especially when it comes to upcoming products. Major companies try to maintain the mystery, but sooner or later at least some of the details are leaked. This time, we had a chance to learn more about the Redmi 7.
A TENAA report for the Redmi 7 was spotted, and this means that the device is certified to launch in China. This is supposed to be a surprise, as only the launch of the Redmi Note 7 Pro was announced.
We already had the official announcement for the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the device is expected to launch in China on March 18th. More than that, Redmi has prepared a special offer, and 100 users who will sign up for Mi accounts and test some of the features of the phone will receive the smartphone as a gift.
Redmi 7 Specs
The TENAA report allowed us to learn more about the hardware specs of the upcoming phone. For example, we found out that there will be two different CPU options for the Redmi 7. The first option is the Snapdragon 632, while the second one is the Snapdragon 636. They will share some similarities, as both processors clock at 1.8 GHz and they both come with eight cores.
There are three options of RAM: 2GB, 3GB and 4GB and the Redmi 7 will have a 4000 mAh battery. Users will be able to choose between 16 GB/ 32 GB and 64 GB of storage, and microSD cards can also be used.
When it comes to the camera, we know that the Redmi 7 will have a 12 MP main camera, as well as an 8 MP selfie camera which will be located in a top notch shaped like a water drop. The phone will run on Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
