If we take a look at the update changelog we can see that there are not many changes, and they are not major ones either. The most important addition seems to be the March security patch. The OTA also brings a couple of general bug fixes and system improvements.
A new useful tool was also introduced. Users can now offer feedback. The new tool can be used to report bugs or even submit feature requests. Therefore, if there is a new function that you would like to see you can now make a request.
Download OxygenOS 9.0.5
This is an OTA update and the latest OxygenOS version should be on the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T devices. You should receive a notification letting you know that the update is available. However, if you didn’t get the notification you can go to Settings, open System and head over to System updates. Once you are there you need to tap on the Check for Updates button.
It is also possible to get the latest release if you go to the OnePlus website and download the complete update package for the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6TG. You can then install the update manually.
