Pokemon Go is one of the best mobile games to ever be released and there is no doubt about that. What makes Pokemon Go special is the fact that it’s one of the first mobile games to implement AR (augmented reality) technology in its gameplay and this makes it possible for people from all over the world to live out their childhood dreams of catching rare Pokemon. Nonetheless, there is something else that is giving Pokemon Go a big advantage over its competition and we are talking about regular software updates.
Even though software updates might not seem like such an important thing for most gamers, these updates are the ones responsible for keeping the gameplay of Pokemon Go fresh and stable. The reason behind this is that with every new update that Pokemon Go receives, the game’s software stability is enhanced.
Pokemon Go 0.143.2 Update
If you enjoy going out to the park and catching rare Pokemon, then we have some great news to share with you. Pokemon Go has just received a new update and it sports the 0.143.2 version number. This is a high priority update and we are advising all Pokemon Go fans to keep their smartphones connected to a stable Wi-Fi network because the update is being rolled out via OTA (over the air) channels. In addition, the update introduces a handful of bug fixes that take care of various issues.
System Requirements
The new Pokemon Go update is targeted at smartphones that are running on Android 8.1 Oreo. Luckily, the update can also be installed on lower-end or older smartphones because it requires a minimum operating system of Android 4.4 KitKat. We should also mention that the update weighs in at 97.68MB and therefore, all Pokemon Go fans need to have at least 100MB of free internal storage space.
