Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in the spring of the year 2020, which is approximately half a year before Xbox Scarlett and the highly expected PlayStation 5 would roll out. People wondered if the new Cyberpunk 2077 game will be made available for the next-gen consoles, too, but the Senior Level Designer of the game, Miles Tost said that CD Projekt Red, the title’s developer would consider it once the game will launch, but is currently focused on today’s generation of consoles and computers.
Tost said that as a game studio, it is only logical that they look forward to the future of gaming industry, but at the same time, they also focus on what they are creating right now. The studio is paying full attention to the current generation of consoles and PC, but when the time is right, it will probably also support the next-generation controllers. The launch of the next-generation consoles is not a concern for the game studio as it will be released a long time after the launch of Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 could also roll out on next-gen consoles, Xbox Scarlett and PlayStation 5
Xbox Scarlett will be released during holiday season in the year 2020, and the PlayStation 5 is also speculated to launch around that time as well. Yesterday, the analyst first Cowen & Company reported that supports the launch date of the consoles, saying that Sony’s new generation system is thought to launch in the fall or holiday season of 2020.
Both Xbox Scarlett and the PlayStation 5 is already known to be backward compatible, so Cyberpunk 2077 is expected that will be available on the new controllers. Both consoles are much more potent than the steady current generation controller hardware, so Tost is probably talking about next-generation consoles in terms of what capacities the new hardware might enable Cyberpunk 2077 to attain on them.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next year on April the 16th.
