Microsoft is getting ready to release its newest game, Minecraft Earth, a game based on Mojang’s popular Minecraft. Mojang will officially open the beta registration sometime this summer as it prepares for the title’s release.
Minecraft Earth is a brand new augmented reality game in which players have to collect resources, take part in challenges and design buildings. The highly expected game doesn’t have an official release date as yet, but fans will soon be able to play it by signing up to the closed beta.
As it was confirmed on the Minecraft Earth website, those who register must be over 18 of age and own a smartphone that has an at least Android 7 or iOS 10. Early players that will register will also receive an exclusive skin for free, provided if you have a Microsoft account.
The Mojang post reads:
“Sign up below to receive updates for the game, get your free skin for Minecraft Earth and Minecraft Bedrock, and for a chance to be one of the first to play Minecraft Earth. “The skin is only available for a limited time, so sign up today!
“To play in the closed beta, you’ll need a mobile device that runs at least Android 7 or iOS10. We’ll need your Microsoft or Xbox Live account, app store log-in, and answers to a few questions to complete your registration.”
The company has unveiled more about the forthcoming game in a new blog post, describing that players can meet crafters with a similar view and create centerpieces together. They can also work on a smaller scale with friends before expanding and showing their buildings at full size.
The game allows you to team up with other players to enjoy mini-adventures and makes the real-life neighborhood look completely different with Minecraft Earth. Collect resources, take part in challenges, and share your creations with others, Mojang added.
