Nintendo Switch Online To Offer A Free Trial Game

In comparison to Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus, Nintendo Switch Online hasn’t been offering much when it came to subscriber perks. Even if the service is more affordable, players complained that they paid for the same online connection but another slow droplet-feed of NES games via NES Online.

Even so, Nintendo is starting to level up, providing occasional in-game free items and discounts. The console developer has added a new benefit to its Switch Online users: a free game trial of Mario Tennis Aces. Subscribers who use the service can download the complete version within a limited time frame.

Even though the downloadable free version of the game is now available, the title will become playable for free between August the 7th at 10 am PT/1pm ET to August the 13th at 11:59 pm PT/August the 14th at 2:59 am ET.

Every bit of progress that you make in Aces will be transferred in the game if players decide to buy it after the free trial period ends. To encourage people to commit themselves to play the game, Nintendo will also offer a discount in Aces by 30 percent between August the 7th and the 20th on the eShop.

Game trials were initially revealed to be accessible for European Switch owners, even though MobileSyrup has announced that the option is also available on the Nintendo Switch in Canada. The discount offered will bring the game to approximately $43 from its regular $60 price tag. This deal will allegedly be available to all users, not just Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

Until now, Aces is the only title to be accessible in free trial form. Even so, it appears improbable that Nintendo would launch a new Switch online bonus for one game, so it is quite possible that trials will be provided for other games in the future.
