The 2020 NFL season has officially kicked off the action, which means Madden 21 has started its MUT TOTW 1.
The program is live now, and it is the first of a brand new TOTW format.
Here are the players that made the first Madden 21 Team of the Week.
Madden 21 TOTW 1
There was plenty of action in week 1 of the 2020 NFL season.
This made the first MUT TOTW this year hard to pick, but there are some big surprises.
For starters, thanks to the new TOTW structure, players that made history on this week in previous seasons are also included. This means players like Arian Foster have made the list.
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers (89 OVR)
Davante Adams was a huge part of the Green Bay Packers win over the Minnesota Vikings in week 1. As a result, he’s the MUT TOTW Player of the Week.

Adams’ 14 receptions and 2 touchdowns lead the season so far, and adding 156 yards to the mix certainly doesn’t hurt.
Arian Foster, Hoston Texans (89 OVR)
Arian Foster is a blast from the past for football fans, and is the first player in the Madden 21 TOTW debut that demonstrates a change in the TOTW format.
For Madden 21, TOTW will include some older players that had massive historic successful performances on this week in past seasons.

In 2010, Foster put together 231 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, which earns his spot.

Bryant Young, San Francisco 49ers (89 OVR)
Another historic performance earns the Defense Hero slot for Madden 21 TOTW 1, Bryant Young’s 2005 game against the Rams. Young recorded 4 tackles and 3 sacks in the game.

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (86 OVR)
Russell Wilson showed up big in week 1 for the Seattle Seahawks, throwing for a whopping 322 yards and 4 touchdowns on an incredible 88.6% completion rate.
These numbers come between 3 sacks, which clearly didn’t have any effect on Wilson’s game on Sunday, as he kept things clean with no interceptions.

The Atlanta Falcons may not have the best pass defense, but this could be the sign of a very big season to come.
Stephon Gilmore, New England Patriots (86 OVR)
Gilmore has finally made the 99 Club in Madden 21, and put in enough of a showing in week 1 to catch the eye of MUT developers.
Gilmore put together 5 tackles, and intercepted the only pass he defended against the Miami Dolphins.

While we wouldn’t say this performance outweighs several other defensive showings this week, including a 16 tackle, 1 forced fumble, 1 sack showing from Jerome Baker on the opposite side of the ball, it was apparently enough to get the job done.
Chris Jones, Kansas City Chiefs (82 OVR)
Chris Jones led the defensive charge for the Kansas City Chiefs, helping to push his team along to a solid 34-20 victory over the Houston Texans.
An offensive line that was supposed to be Deshaun Watson’s best protection yet crumbled to the Chiefs, and Chris Jones certainly caused some of the issues with 4 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
