A Texas school bus driver finds himself in trouble after venturing on a flooded road north of the city of Austin last week.
Because of his reckless behavior, the vehicle he was washed away by the current of a river. He was carrying a 12-year-old student.
The incident happened on Oct. 16 and was captured by a camera attached to the dashboard of the bus.
After floating for several meters, the vehicle was finally stopped when it hit trees.
The boy’s mother says it was her son who called her, panicked, thinking he was about to die.
The emergency services were finally able to rescue the driver and the student.
The driver was arrested by the police and is now facing charges for endangering a child’s life and ignoring roadside warning signs.
The school board also indicated that the man had been fired.
