Samsung Galaxy S10 Will Be Equipped With Reverse Wireless Charging Technology

It’s amazing to see how technology evolves. A couple of years ago, it would have been impossible to charge your phones without a charger. Then wireless charging became possible. Now it appears that phone manufacturers are ready to take the next step forward. The Samsung Galaxy S10 will come with reverse wireless charging technology. This technology allows users to charger other devices using their phone.

Powershare technology

This reverse wireless charging technology was named Powershare by Samsung. At the moment we don’t know exactly how this technology will work. However we do know for sure that Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy S10 Lite will come with Powershare. This means that it will be possible to charge them wirelessly, and they will also come with the reverse charging feature.

Huawei already has this function

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro already has reverse wireless charging. However, when it comes to this smartphone, we can’t say that we were impressed by this function. Those who have already tested it revealed that the process takes way too much time. More than that, the phones need to be touching each other in order to charge.

The technology behind it isn’t that clear yet, but it is believed that electromagnetics are used. This could explain why Huawei’s feature does not work that well. These technologies work better if the devices used are compatible in some way.

It is hard to predict how the Powershare technology will work. However, Samsung has definitely paid attention to Huawei’s function, and the South Korean company might be able to bring the needed improvements. If Samsung brings this feature, there is a big chance that other smartphone companies will also adopt it in the future. Hopefully, this means that improvements will be made. We are also waiting for wireless charging that is just as fast as wired one.
