If you are hoping that BioWare will release Dragon Age 4, we have to destroy that hope right now. It appears that there are still a couple of years left until Dragon Age 4 will finally be published. While fans will be disappointed to hear this, we are sure that it’s for a good reason.
The first game of the franchise appeared almost 10 years ago, back in 2009. It was titled Dragon Age: Origins and it allowed us to explore the world of Ferelden for the first time. The outcome of the game was based on the decisions made by the player, which was a nice touch.
Another RPG followed in 2011 when BioWare released Dragon Age II, which allowed fans to continue the story. In this game, you could play as a refugee from the first game who is now in Thedas.
Finally, back in 2014 Dragon Age: Inquisition was released. The player was the Inquisitor, trying to bring back harmony in Thedas.
The fourth game
The success of the series is undeniable, and fans were left wanting for more. However, when it comes to another Dragon Age game, we don’t know anything for sure.
There have been some reports that seemed to indicate that a fourth game is at least three years away, but even that option seems optimistic. It appears that EA has decided to delay the Dragon Age project in order to focus on Anthem.
We do know that Dragon Age 4 will exist, but it appears that the game is still in the early stages of the development. In fact, the project hasn’t even been named yet.
A BioWare blog post let us know that a Dragon Age announcement will be made. This did, in fact, happen at the Game Awards, where we did receive a very brief teaser of Dragon Age 4. However, despite this, it appears that there is a lot of work left to do until the game is ready to be released.
