Cyberpunk 2077 is the next game from the makers of The Witcher series and everyone who loves RPG games is waiting for it. CD Projekt Red is renowned in the gaming industry for taking its time when it comes to creating new games and while this might be annoying because gamers need to wait longer than usual in order to play their games, CD Projekt Red’s games are always worth the wait. The reason why Cyberpunk 2077 is making headlines today is because the game’s executives have announced in what store the game will launch on and hinted at a late 2019 release date.
Cyberpunk 2077 Will Not Launch on the Epic Store
Epic Games is the company in charge of the cultural phenomenon Fortnite and it has launched its own games store in 2018. The Epic Store offers great deals to game developers and lots of companies are flocking over to it. The problem here is that everyone who wants to buy a game from the Epic Store needs to download it in their PC and everyone is already used to Steam. Fortunately for Cyberpunk 2077 fans, the game will not launch on the Epic Store. This information was confirmed by the official CD Projekt Red Twitter account.
Late 2019 Release Date?
Considering that CD Projekt Red has already release gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077 and that the company has increased its staff from 250 to 400, we think it’s safe to say that a late 2019 release date could be possible. Even though getting to play Cyberpunk 2077 earlier than expected would be awesome, truth be told is that CD Projekt Red should not rush and tweak out the game as much as they can because nearly every game that they release reinvents the RPG genre and forces other game developers to improve their own games in order to compete.
