Mass Effect fans have a reason to be happy. It appears that Mass Effect 4 will definitely become a reality at some point. BioWare released that they are “not done” with the series, which makes it quite clear that a sequel will be produced.
In fact, BioWare did mention Mass Effect several times, offering us clues that they are working on another game. The “official” Mass Effect day is known as N7 Day and on that day in November last year, the team did write an emotional post about the franchise.
“We announced one of the things we’ve done recently (a 4k enhancement to Mass Effect: Andromeda on Xbox One) but as we alluded to in our N7 Day video, that was just a small part of the plans we’re making for Mass Effect going forward,” wrote BioWare boss Casey Hudson back in December. This was considered an announcement.

A recent interview with studio head Casey Hudson and executive producer Mike Darrah offered us even more details. The interview focused on the latest BioWare game, but it did include the Mass Effect topic as well. Both men confirmed that BioWare is not done with the series, and they are seriously thinking about continuing it.
“We’re definitely not done with Mass Effect,” Darrah explained. There’s a lot of stories to be told. We could pull on the threads we put down with Andromeda; we could pull on threads from Mass Effect 3. There’s a lot of interesting space to be explored.”
“In my mind, it’s very much alive,” added Hudson. “I’m thinking all the time about things that I think will be great. It’s just a matter of getting back to it as soon as we can.”
