Three New Mac Products Expected To Launch In 2019

New Mac products are expected to launch this year, and they should come with several improvements. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo offered us more details about the upcoming devices. For example, a 31.-6 inch Apple 6K3K display is expected. According to Kuo, the display will have “outstanding picture quality thanks to its adoption of the Mini LED-like backlight design.”

The display will have a standard  6K resolution of 6,144 x 3,072. At a 31.6-inch diagonal size there will be a pixel density of roughly 217 ppi. Meanwhile, the iMac 5K should come with 218 ppi, while the 115-inch MacBook will have 221 ppi.

A new display

The last display used by Apple was the Apple Thunderbolt Display. However, back in June 2016 that display was discontinued. Back then, a successor was not announced and it became clear that Apple will buy from third parties. Nonetheless, several sources indicated that the company was working on new diplays. There were also rumours of an integrated eGPU.

During that period, Apple had a partnership with LG. High-end monitors were produced, and they delivered a high-quality experience. However, when it came to the aesthetical aspect, things could have been better. The 4K and 5K LG UltraFine displays connected via Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C. More than that, they had an important advantage: they offered support for most Apple features. This even included functions which usually worked only on Apple hardware, such as TrueTune.

Back in 2017 the redesign Mac Pro was teased by Apple. We also discovered that the new iMac Pro was supposed to come with a brand new high-end display. Kuo also let us know that Apple wants to release a 16- to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro. The device should be perfect for gamers and designers.
