When it comes to the gaming industry, many gamers feel like CD Projekt Red or CDPR for short is their last hope. The world’s biggest game developers such as Activision and EA are now focusing solely on profits and their games are not what they used to be. On the other hand, CDPR is staying true to its fans and it keeps on working on amazing games that are more than likely going to win the GOTY (game of the year) award.
The game that CDPR is working on right now is called Cyberpunk: 2077. This is a futuristic RPG (role-playing game) that is going to give players the chance to step into the shoes of “V” who is the game’s main protagonist and live the life of a technology-enhanced mercenary. While the game might be exciting, fans of CDPR do have a major concern about it.
Will Cyberpunk: 2077 Be Available Only On GOG?
As all CDPR fans know by now, the game developer has its own game shop called GOG. This is the place where CDPR fans can find all of the company’s latest games such as The Witcher 3 and Gwent. It would make perfect sense for CDRP to launch Cyberpunk: 2077 as an exclusive GOG title since millions of people would go to the store and buy the game, but will CDPR do it?
Fortunately, this is not going to be the case. A fan asked CDRP on social media if Cyberpunk: 2077 will be a GOG exclusive title to which the game developer responded with “We don’t want exclusives”. This is great news for gamers all over the world because it shows that CDPR wants to make the game accessible to everyone instead of focusing on profits. Activision and EA should take example from the way CDPR conducts business.
