Sony is currently working on PlayStation 5 or PS5 for short and the next-generation console is expected to arrive in 2020 or 2021. Unfortunately, Sony doesn’t want to release too much information about PS5, but this is totally understandable since Sony would give Microsoft an advantage by leaking information about PS5 ahead of its release date.
On the other hand, this doesn’t mean that PlayStation fans haven’t already sent Sony a wish list with the features that they want to see on the next-gen console. With that said, today we are going to check out the top three most exciting features that PS5 is expected to offer.

- Backwards Compatibility
PS4 and Xbox One are competing every single day and even though PS4 might have the upper hand in this competition, Xbox One has the advantage that it offers a backwards compatibility program. This program makes it possible for Xbox One fans to play older games that were released as exclusives for Xbox 360 for example. Therefore, a new backwards compatibility program is going to be one of PS5 ‘s highlight features.
- More Exclusive Games
We previously mentioned that Xbox One has an edge over PS4 because it offers a backwards compatibility program. However, PS4 is the clear winner in the comparison because it offers a large number of AAA exclusive games such as The Last of US and God of War. This is why we can be more than sure that Sony will keep releasing exclusive games for PS5.
- VR Integration
Sony has already meddled with VR technology when it launched the PS VR headset. Although, rumor has that Sony is looking to bring total VR integration with PS5 and even to release a more expensive bundle version of PS5 that offers the Gear VR headset.
