If you love playing Pokemon Go in your free time, then we have some great news for you! Niantic has released a new update for the mobile game and introduces a handful of software tweaks that improve the reliability and overall performances of Pokemon Go. Not only that, but the new update also enhances the app’s new feature called Go Snapshot.
Pokemon Go 0.137.1 APK Update
The latest update for Pokemon Go was released today (March 8th) and it comes in the form of APK. Therefore, the new update is available only for Pokemon Go fans who own Android powered smartphones which have the “Unknown Sources” option enabled. The trick to installing APK updates is that interested Pokemon Go fans need to get them manually directly from the game’s official website.
System Requirements
As previously mentioned, APK updates can only be installed on Android powered smartphones. For those who are unfamiliar with this update format, then they should know that APK is an acronym for “Android Package Kit”, hence the Android exclusivity. The new update requires a smartphone that is running on a minimum of Android 4.4. KitKat operating system and it also needs at least 87.74MB of free internal storage space.
OTA Release Date
We know that having to manually download and install updates can be annoying and this is why we want to let all Pokemon Go fans know that they update is eventually going to be released OTA (over the air). On the downside of things, we don’t know the exact date when this will happen, and Niantic has yet to announce an official release date. With that said, Pokemon Go fans who want to get their hands on the latest software improvements that the new update introduces should make sure to manually download and install it right now.
