There are a few more months until its official release in August, but we got to see a little bit about the Shenmue 3 in a brand new trailer, that was released at this weekend’s Magic festival from Monaco. It’s safe to say that it is exactly like Shenmue. We’re not sure how people will take this. However – many will be pleased, some will be angry. We cannot do anything but wait and see.
Can we get used to the fact that there’s no contemporary image of the game?
We saw Ryo, Lan Di, and Shenhua in the extended backdrop of Guilin, and we also got to see more brand new characters. The design screams cartoons, and they have kept the original idea of the game. Even the fighting is loyal to the Dreamcast originals, which is a great deal for those people who usually are traditionalists. However, many people wanted to see a more contemporary image of the game.
After all, we’re talking about a revival, and it’s exactly what you thought it would be. And considering their small budget and the small team, it’s really a great job! The original game was very famous at its origins, and it was the most expensive video game production.
More shops in the new game
There’s only one thing that definitely changed for better: there will be more shops in the game and many new items. We all know that, in the past games, we had to deal with fewer stores. However, you could have stayed and talked to the owners for as long as you wanted. In this game, you won’t be able to speak to the owners as much as you’d like, but you will have more items to come in handy.
