While more news will come on 4 April, let’s see what we will do until then and when are the April events scheduled.
Pokemon GO April Events
Community Day
On 13 April, Community Day will take place, featuring Bagon and the usual bonuses. The event will start at 3 PM and will end at 6 PM local time. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a Shiny Bagon! We haven’t yet learned what its special move will be, but check back here later for more updates.
Earth Day Event
Now another interesting event starting on 13 April and lasting until 28 April is going to be Niantic’s way of celebrating Earth Day. They will team up with organizations around the world and start cleaning up the environment.
The more people attending this event, the more bonuses Niantic will offer:
- If the cleanup attracts 2,000 players, Niantic will increase the spawn rate of Ground Type Pokemon.
- If 5,000 players attend, they could capture a Shiny Diglett.
- At the 7,000 people gathering for the cleaning, Niantic will offer the two rewards, double Stardust, double Candy and Groudon Raids.
And that’s not the only event this April!
Bug Out! Event
Expect to see more Bug-type Pokemon with the event Bug Out, which will begin on 2 April at 9 PM GMT, and will end one week later at the same hour. Here’s the Tweet for the event:
