Apex Legends is a battle royale type of game, developed by Respawn Entertainment and released by EA Games. It was released on February 4, 2019, and it’s available for free on Windows, PS4 and Xbox One. There are even rumors that the game will come to mobile devices in the near future.
Apex Legends Is a Critically-Acclaimed Title
According to Metacritic, Apex Legends received generally favorable reviews upon its release, experiencing rapid growth, with 50 million players reported in the first month, which is a mind-boggling number for any game. Many publications declared it one of the best battle royale games so far and a worthy competitor for Fortnite.
EA also declared ”Apex Legends is easily the fastest-growing franchise we’ve ever had.” The game enjoyed success all around the world, with few exceptions. Tencent is working with EA Games to find a way to bring Apex Legends to China, while also respecting the governmentally imposed requirements.
Apex Legends to Receive a New Patch
Recently, a Reddit post revealed what new additions, enhancements, and fixes will be delivered with the next patch of Apex Legends. It seems that EA developers focused on solving the fortified bug and the slow-motion lag issues at the start of matches that many players were complaining about. Improvements include changes to the game’s hit registration and audio.
For now, no announcement has been made to reveal the date when the new patch will be released, but users expect it to happen soon, hopefully with the next update.
Since the release of Apex Legends, the main cause of complaint has been the slow-motion lag that affects the start of matches, causing unpleasant experiences to players.
