This year The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red’s role-playing game, turns 4 years old since its initial release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a story-driven, open-world adventure game, is taking place in a dark fantasy universe. However, we only had rumors that it will come to the Nintendo Switch. Now that stories confirmed during Nintendo E3 2019 panel.
The Witcher 3 Comes To Nintendo Switch, As Revealed At E3 2019
Now, during Nintendo Direct at E3 2019, CD Projekt Red confirmed that The Witcher 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch. More specifically, The Witcher: Complete Edition with its two massive story expansions – Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine – is heading to Switch later this year. If you want to be the first one to buy, the game is already available for pre-order.
The Witcher 3 has mature content, not very suitable to the Nintendo Switch’s family-friendly audience, but everyone is okay with that, as there are already some M-rated titles on Switch, such as Skyrim, Bayonetta 2, Doom, and L.A. Noire.
Cyberpunk 2077 Might Also Come To Switch If The Witcher 3 Is Successful
If you’re a fan of CD Projekt Red, you already know the details on its next game, Cyberpunk 2077, which will launch on April 16th, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If all goes well for The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch console, we expect CD Projekt Red to consider bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to Nintendo Switch, as well.
You will have to wait, but until then, a gigantic open world is waiting for you to explore as you will visit the luxurious and corrupt city of Novigrad in The Witcher 3, challenge the dark forces, and sail through open seas. With over 150 hours of gameplay, the wait will be sweet, and The Witcher 3 will be available on Nintendo Switch for you to play at home and on the go, too.
