The internet exploded in the past few days with more and more leaks and rumors about the possible new game GTA 6, codenamed “Project Americas.” We still don’t have a release date. And due to the spread rumors that GTA 6 will be a next-gen only title, we can expect for this game to only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett.
The other days we knew the game would get inspiration from the Netflix show Narcos and the action will take place in the 1970s and 1980s. The main character will be Ricardo. From the details posted online, we found out there will be another two characters, Martin Madrazo and Kacey, which will be part of the storyline. Madrazo is a character from GTA 5 who is playing the younger version of himself.
GTA 6 “Project Americas” takes place in Vice City and Brasil
Talking about the storyline, the player will start the game as a cocaine dealer, making runs from Vice City to areas from South America. While doing trades and running from a city to another, the gamer will make his way up by making a connection with drug lords of his times. If you think prison might fit in the game, you guessed right because a giant jail will be in the game.
It seems Rockstar dedicated a lot of time to GTA 6. The company is, supposedly, working on the game since 2012. The location of the game might be Vice City. Besides this city, there will be some sites to unlock during the game and some missions in Liberty City without open-world exploration. The Infos about the set of the game date back in June 2018.
GTA 6 versus Red Dead Redemption 2
A lot of leaked details compared these two games. The online posts claim the next GTA won’t be as realistic as Red Dead Redemption 2, but it will feature a similar chapter system. The gamers will heave weapons only on them and not an arsenal as in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Other details posted online are:
- The Weather will have a high focus from the developers.
- We will see old and classic cars, and they even get more expensive as time passes by in the game.
- The drug empire building will be a ten times bigger mechanic than the GTA’s Online.
- The game will have topics like HIV and the immigration crisis of the 70s and 80s.
- There is a lot of intel here, but the details might suffer changes over time with GTA 6 being in the Pre-Alpha phase.
