Supercell has announced recently that it will be the host of the first-ever Clash of Clans World Championship. It will take place at ESL One Hamburg, from the 25th of October to the 27th of October. This World Championship will have as its prize $1 million, which is the largest ever for the game.

This is the first time this event is taking place
The game has been part of other esports events in the past, but this is the first time Supercell is branding a competition as a World Championship event. The community of the game has been playing this game for so long, and they put thousands of hours into this game. The team behind the game is honored to deliver a championship that’s worthy of this dedicated community, as said by Marika Appel, who’s the Clash of Clans community manager.
