Much to the fans’ excitement, the games that Sony had prepared for PlayStation Plus August 2019 games have all been leaked recently. A few days ago, Glitched Africa received some pictures from a fan.
According to those, two PlayStation 4 games were listed as “free” on the PlayStation Store, along with the PS Plus logo. This is not the first time PS Plus games got leaked on the PlayStation Store, but this time it is way too soon. We still have around a month to go before the official release of the games.
The two games that got leaked were Star Wars Battlefront 2 and EA Sports UFC 3. The leak suggests that both of these games will be free to download next month for users with a Ps Plus membership.
PlayStation Plus August 2019 Games Leaked
However, many began to wonder if this leak is just an error. Both of the games are published by EA, which would be quite an odd choice even more so as EA’s subscription service, Ea Access, launches at the end of this months.
So why would Sony choose games of their rival? And why would EA offer two of their most recent games to PS Plus just after releasing their own game streaming platform? Since this whole thing seems very bizarre, we can’t confirm if the rumor is true.
As we said, the leak might have just been an unfortunate error. We can’t take leaks very seriously, so we should take this with a grain of salt. The official day of announcement for PlayStation Plus August 2019 games is July 31st. We will just have to wait until then to find out the truth. Meanwhile, what do you think about this lineup of games? Would you be happy if these games are the real choices made by Sony for August?
