A FAQ on Minecraft forum is: Why is Minecraft kicking me out? Follow through this tutorial to get an answer, including how to get around the issue.
Some Minecraft players have complained of a crashing error, which is mainly encountered on the Single Player mode of the game. Typically, you’re suddenly kicked out of the game, and you’d remain locked out until the issue’s resolved.
In this tutorial, we’ll be shedding more light on the cause of this error, as well as how to get around it.
Why is Minecraft Kicking Me Out?
The main cause of this has been attributed to a bug on the v1.3.1 of the game, and this bug is triggered by the TMI (TooManyItems) mod. Put aptly, this error is commonly encountered by players who have the TMI mod installed.
Therefore,to get around d this error, you’d have to remove/uninstall the mod or reset Minecraft.jar as described herein.
Solution 1: Force Update Minecraft
Minecraft.jar is the hub where mods, including TMI, are saved in Minecraft. So, try and reset it, by “force updating” the game.
To do this:
- go to Minecraft launcher.
- select Options > Force update; and
- log into the game.
This action would reset Minecraft.jar, and the error should now be fixed.
If the error persists, you can try the next solution.
Solution 2: Remove Minecraft.jar & TMI Mod
By removing Minecraft.jar, the mod and other mods on Minecraft are also removed. And in most cases, this has proven to be the ultimate solution to this error.
Follow the steps below to run this procedure:
- Click on the Windows + R keys to open the ‘Run’ dialog box.
- In the box, key in “%appdata%”. and hit Enter.
- In the next window, go to the “.minecraft” entry.
- Select Bin.
- Locate jar and right-click on it.
- Delete the file.
Subsequently, upon relaunch, Minecraft would automatically download a new Minecraft.jar for you. The game should now run fine.
Closing Note
This error is not new on Minecraft. In fact, it’s been around for well over half-a-decade (since 2012). And numerous updates (with several security patches) have been released since then.
Therefore, ensure that you’re running the latest version of the game on your computer; otherwise, try and update the game as appropriate.
