Servers down on Xbox: Fortnite, Aplex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege affected

Xbox users will have to find something else to do for a day or two perhaps. Xbox servers are down and very popular games like Fornite, Apex Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege are on the list of non-playable.

Online issues

Xbox Live is a system that has been affected. This is due to an outage that relates to games and other content available on the Microsoft Store. If someone has a physical copy of the game, they can pop in the DVD. No sweat.

It would be obvious that online multiplayer are the most affected in the Xbox blackout. With Fornite and Apex Legends suffering the most. It is not 100 percent clear if Rainbow Six Siege is fully affected by the blackout but it does have a large fan base that plays it on Xbox servers.

An official statement from Microsoft

Microsoft had the following statement for their users:

“Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems finding previously-purchased content or purchasing new content. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.”

You can game online in no time

Ubisoft also chimed in the conversation with a post that ensures Xbox users that there is a connectivity issue and work is currently being done to fix it. Apparently, the company has a lot of titles on the platform and a lot of users who play their games there.

Being an Xbox user right about now is not looking pretty but it will only be for a day or two. Issues like this are fixed very fast by companies like Microsoft. Until the problem goes away, try playing a single-player campaign or better yet, go outside and play with a ball.
