Defense or offense?
Right from the beginning, you need to choose a strategy. Are more aggressive or do you want to focus on defense?
If you want to play offensively, then attacks should be your main focus. Start by building camps and barracks. Make sure that you upgrade your troops and look up attack strategies.
If you want to be defensive, your defense structures should be the ones you upgrade. You will also need to collect as many resources as possible. Upgrade your walls and your town hall. When it comes to leveling up your defense buildings start with the mortars, continue with your archer towers and then end u with the cannons.
Come up with an effective wall network
Your walls can represent an excellent line of defense but you need to make sure that you use them right. When you are coming up with a design, try to think about how rivals would attack your base. There shouldn’t be any gaps (unless they are part of your strategy).
It is also very important that you don’t leave any spawnable tiles within your base, as your opponents could place their troops there and attack from the inside. Your most important defenses should also be placed next to the center of your base. In the middle, there should be your Town Hall, as well as your most precious resources.
