As smartphones continue to evolve, they become better and better for gaming. Therefore, some companies have decided that it is finally time for gaming phones. Razer and Asus are already known for gaming PCs and laptops and it is a good thing that they decided to handle smartphones as well. Today we will compare two of their phones, the ROG Phone and the Razer Phone 2.
Specifications
If we start with the price, we can see that the ROG Phone is more expensive. The Razer Phone 2 costs $799, while the price for the ROG Phone starts from $899. One thing they have in common is the processor, as they both come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
In terms of storage, the Razer Phone 2 has 64 GB of space, while the $899 version of the ROG Phone has 128 GB of storage available and the $1099 model has 512 GB. While the ROG Phone seems the clear winner we should remind you that it does not have a MicroSD Slot, while the Razer Phone 2 has one and it allows you to increase storage up to 512 GB.
The ROG Phone comes with a 6-inch AMOLED (2160 x 1080) screen, while the Razer Phone 2 has a 5.7-inch LCD (2560 x 1440) screen. Both devices come with a 4000 mAh battery.
Design
Don’t expect the most modern design for these smartphones. The ROG Phone isn’t slim, but the fact that it comes with 2.5D Gorilla Glass does help. It does have some nice accents, such as the copper-accented stereo-speaker grilles.
Meanwhile, the Razer Phone 2 is a lot chunkier. The device has thick bezels and it comes with a 16:9 which might seem outdated if you compare it to other modern smartphones. Many users also find it very hard to use it only with one hand as the device is quite heavy and thick.
