Everyone is holding their breath for the Grand Theft Auto 6 release. The previous game, Grand Theft Auto 5 was a massive success, and despite the fact that it was released 5 years ago, it remains a fan favorite among many gamers. While Rockstar did release GTA Online, most fans are looking forward to Grand Theft Auto 6.
The bad news is that there is no official information related to GTA 6. The studio didn’t confirm that it is working on it, although it is obvious that the GTA franchise will continue. Luckily for us, a couple of leaks offered us the confirmation we needed. Now that Red Dead Redemption 2 was released (and it was a huge success), Rockstar can finally focus on GTA 6.
Some fans seem to believe that time travel will be possible in GTA 6. In the past, we had a mod that allowed this, but we expect things to be a lot more complex if they are integrated in the upcoming GTA game.
The characters of the upcoming game have been speculated by everyone. In fact, many fans seem to believe that a female protagonist might come to the upcoming game “In the future, could we do a game with a female lead? Of course. We just haven’t found the right game for it yet, but it’s one of the things that we always think about,” explained Rockstar co-founder and lead writer Dan House in a 2013 interview.
There were also rumours that actress Eva Mendez and her husband Ryan Gosling were listed as voice actors. Having them as protagonists would be amazing, especially if we remember Gosling’s role in Drive.
Another rumor seems to suggest that GTA 6 might be available in VR. Nonetheless, GTA games are action-packed and very intense and they might be a bit uncomfortable to play in VR for long periods of time.
