Verizon chose to keep the same pattern when it comes to the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL by giving them the same number for the latest software update that will be released. This update brings improvements to the performance levels of these devices. The manufacturers are keen on addressing all the major and minor issues that users are noticing so this is an ongoing exercise. This update pack also includes the Android security patch from 5th of February.

Google launched these phones three years ago in 2016 which makes them the oldest in the current lot. The Pixel XL’s display measures 5.5 inches while the Google Pixel model’s is 0.5 inches smaller. Verizon did not mention any particular issue as these phones receive their 29th software update. The carrier offers these phones their regular Android security and software update.
