Years ago Minecraft was released, and it was a simple indie game that managed to win our hearts. In time, its success increased more than we could have imagined, up to the point where it became one of the most popular video games in the world.
At the moment Minecraft is available on all sorts of devices, from consoles and computers to mobile phones. More than that, a Minecraft movie is currently being developed. All in all, it appears that the success of Minecraft won’t decrease in 2019.
When will the movie come out?
Back in 2016 we received the announcement that a Minecraft movie should come out in 2019. Mojang informed us that Warner Bros. will produce the movie and that the release date for it was May 24. Back then Vu Bui, Mojang’s COO, explained that the wait was worth it: “yes, that might seem like a long time away, but it just so happens to be the right amount of time to make it completely awesome.”
However, don’t hope for a 2019 release anymore. The project went through some changes. The director was changed after Rob McElhenny left this project. Luckily for us, Peter Sollett was chosen as the new director, which means that things can go forward.
Minecraft updates
Many fans were wondering is there will still be an update for consoles. Moan confirmed that there will continue to be Minecraft updates for Windows 10, mobile and PlayStation 4. We also know that something big is on its way.
A huge update was announced by Mojang and it is expected to come out this year. Add-ons should be improved so that players will gain even more control. Other enhancements are expected, such as new customization options.
