Google is Working on a “Never Slow Mode” To Make Web Pages Load Faster

It is no doubt that Google Chrome is a popular browser, no matter the platform we use. The good news is that it will get even better and rid us of all the slow page loading with a new feature. It’s called “never-slow mode,” and it will cut technical elements on a web-page to make it load faster.

“Never Slow Mode” on Chrome

The feature will reduce all the memory Chrome needs to load a web page by diminishing some elements found on a web page that make the browser sluggish, writes Telecom Talk. The name of this feature was found on the open-source project Chromium, which showed what elements will be cut from a webpage. Among the things that won’t load in this mode, are: images, fonts, stylesheets, scripts, and long script tasks.

You can see in the code below that using this mode will also break some web pages:

“Enables an experimental browsing mode that restricts resource loading and runtime processing to deliver a consistently fast experience. WARNING: may silently break content!”

The new mode is still under development, but should soon go live and help users browse much faster. Nonetheless, if you cannot wait for this mode to go live, you can go to the Chrome web store and get an extension that will improve web page loading speeds.

Chrome is also working on improving security and not just speed. The browser will soon get an additional feature that will warn users in case URLs are malicious – in case users click on a website that is similar to another one and it proves to be a phishing page that aims at stealing user data.

As for when will the feature be available, XDA Developers write that the mode might not even be ready for the major version of Chrome, which is expected to be released in March.
