The Cyberpunk 2077 project is highly anticipated by all gamers and it appears that we might finally have a release date for it. Developer CD Projekt Red made a recent announcement that offered us more details about the upcoming game and we are more excited than ever.
Fans were also fearing that this game was going to be an Epic Store exclusive, but it appears that this won’t be the case, and this is something that CD Projekt Red has already confirmed. We already know that games such as Koch Media and 4A Games were Epic Store exclusive, and that did not end up too well for them.
The release date
It appears that more information about the Cyberpunk 2077 release date will come out this year. The one who offered us more information is Karolina Gnaś. Various details were revealed. For instance, we discovered that more than 400 persons are currently working on the upcoming game. This is a huge number, especially if we remember that The Witcher 3 had 250 people at most.
Gnaś also briefly discussed the departure of the creative director: “His [Stępień] departure does not affect the pace of work on our latest title in any way,” Gnaś said. “The team working on Cyberpunk 2077 already has over 400 people.” With such a big team, we expect the game to be major.
This information also offers us some clues about the release date. Since CD Projekt Red has so many staff members working at The Cyberpunk 2077, there is a big chance that the game will be developed faster and we might receive it sooner as well. However, in order to find out the release date for it we will have to wait until the E3 gaming expo that will take place this year. An official announcement should be made then.
