What should be done when this happens?
Mac should be shut down
When you can no longer stand you MacBook Pro being stuck on loading screen, going to the Apple menu to shut it down will not work. Pressing the power button for a few seconds should do the trick. After you do that, all peripheral devices should be disconnected from your Mac. Then, you will need to wait no more than a minute and turn your MacBook Pro back on by pressing the power button/
Reset NVRAM
When this issue happens, and the loading bar does not show any progress, resetting NVRAM could get it back to normal. You need to shut down your computer, turn it back on and immediately press and hold the next keys simultaneously: Option, Command, P, and R. After about 20 seconds you can release them or after you seen the Apple logo on or the startup sound can be heard.
Reset SMC
Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) can solve many MacBook issues so that you could try this one out. The first thing you need to do is to get your MacBook Pro shut down. Afterward, you should press and hold the Shift, Option, Command and power keys for about 10 seconds. You can now release them and turn your device back on.
Reinstall macOS
Your MacBook Pro’s operating system can be repaired when you reinstall macOS as well as fixing any damaged file. Make sure you have a stable internet connection before you do this.
