Pokemon GO Players Have New Quests and Mons To Handle This Weekend

Almost three years after the game was released, Pokemon Go is still going strong. Niantic makes sure that players receive new updates constantly, so that they never get bored. It appears that this weekend will also be a busy one for Pokemon Go players, as new additions are on their way.

New shiny version of legendary Pokemon

Several limited time events will become available really soon and new Pokemon will be rolled out. For example, you already heard about the legendary dragon Latias. For this event, the dragon returns and players are even able to find a shiny version of it. As you already know, the shiny Pokemon are different versions of the original ones, and they use a different color scheme.

Collect a new Pokemon

Players will also have a chance to collect the new Pokemon Clamperl. As the name already suggests, this Pokemon is a water type one. You will be able to get it as a reward once you manage to complete specific Field Research quests. You will have to complete certain tasks which you can get once you go to a PokeStop.

“Spin the Photo Disc at nearby PokéStops to obtain Field Research tasks that lead to encounters with this tough-shelled Bivalve Pokémon. While you’re completing research, keep an eye out for other Water-type Pokémon, such as Krabby and Wailmer,” explained Niantic.

You will be able to complete these special quests from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday, February 24. Therefore, if you really want to get the new Pokemon you need to mark the date so you can come back then and complete the required tasks. During this event you will also receive double stardust when capturing a Water-type Pokemon.
