If you were hoping we will receive a Cyberpunk 2077 a release date anytime soon, you might want to reconsider. As it turns out, Cyberpunk 2077 is an ambitious project, and the studio is not done working on it. As you can remember, the game was announced back in 2013. After 5 years, back in 2018, we received a sneak peek during the Microsoft E3 Press Conference. However, this does not mean that the game will be launched right away.
The studio has been very mysterious when it came to the release date for the game. For instance, there was a developer documentary for CD Projekt Red on PlayStation’s YouTube channel. At the end, the launch date for the game was mentioned. It simply said Cyberpunk 2077 is “Coming: When It’s Ready”.
We also received a couple of hints in the past. For example, on Valentine’s Day there was an image that appeared to be a release date clue. If fans got it right, this could mean that there will be a Cyberpunk 2077 announcement sometime soon.
We also know that Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to return to E3 this year. The video expected to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
What will the game bring?
Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be bring quests just as complex as the ones delivered by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which came out back in 2015. It appears that one of the sources of inspiration will be Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2, which is another good sign, as the game was a major hit.
In fact, if we take a look at statements of the team, it becomes clear that the studio aims to deliver a high quality game.
