The surprises are not over for Apex Legends players, and it seems that a new character will become available before Season 1 is over. This means that once the season is over there will be 10 Legends available.
We found out the news while checking the Sony Apex Legends page on the PlayStation site. There it can be seen that “two new characters will launch over the course of the season” and each character will have its own set of cosmetics.
Until now we didn’t know how many characters will become available this season. Developer Respawn did let us know that each season will bring new characters, but an exact number wasn’t given. However, now we know all the details. It appears that the next Legend will become available in the next 12 weeks.
The first Legend launched was Octane, who marked the beginning of season 1. It appears that he is a reference of the Gauntlet speedrun from the Titanfall 2 game. However, we do not know yet who the second character of Season 1 will be.
Leaks
A couple of datamines and leaks discovered that Apex Legends has planned nine new legens. Their names are Crypto, Husaria, Jericho, Nomad, Prophet, Rampart, Rosie, Skunner, and Wattson. They were posted on the ApexLeaksNews Twitter account.
Fans managed to discover more information about Wattson, including his ability, which is called Tesla Trap and allows him to control electricity in some way. There is a chance that Wattson will be the next Apex Legends character.
We don’t have an exact release data for the new Legend. However, it would make sense to receive it when we are halfway done with this Season, as Season 2 is expected to come out with a new Legend as well. However, we will have to wait and see.
