We are all excited about the next generation of iPhones. However, Apple didn’t offer us any details yet so we have to rely on leaks and speculations. The good news is that now we know how the upcoming iPhones might look like thanks to some leaked images of the manufacturing dummies for the iPhone XI and the iPhone XI Max.
The two images appeared on Chinese social media. In the pictures, we can see two dummies that appear to be 3D prints. They match the size of an iPhone and it is believed that these dummies are used to produce protective cases for third-party producers.
We don’t know yet what is the source of these images. Some believe that the dummies were created to match the design speculations that have been flying around. The rumors indicate that the 2019 iPhones will come with 6.5-inch OLED, 5.8-inch OLED, and 6.1- inch LCD screens. It is also believed that the new models will ditch the old double camera and upgrade it to a triple one. It has also been speculated that the 2019 iPhones will maintain a Lighting connector instead of changing o USB-C.
Design
The two dummies seem to confirm all the rumors we heard so far. For instance, there is a square camera penetration and there appear to be three areas for the camera lens. We can also guess where the flash will be located as there is a smaller cutout placed there as well.
In the second image, we have a front view of the dummies. As it turns out Apple might keep the notch after all, despite the fact that it was one of the most problematic aspects of modern iPhones. The notch is where a speaker hole and four sensor penetrations.
