Cyberpunk 2077 To Have Superior Gameplay, According To CD Projekt Red Quest Director

If you are curious about Cyberpunk 2077 you might be glad to hear that the CD Projekt Red quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewic shared some details about the upcoming game. He offered an interview to Area Jugones where he talked at length about the highly anticipated RPG.

“We still have the elements that have appeared in previous games,” started Tomaszkiewicz. “As I mentioned before, we have decisions, consequences, good characters, etc. I think the new thing in this project and that takes it to the next level is the non-linearity of the gameplay, which we will realize when we play through the missions.”

However, he did mention that the experience provided by Cyberpunk 2077 will be a different one and it won’t be the same thing the Witcher offered us. This time players should be fully immersed both in the gameplay and in the narrative.

Cyberpunk 2077 To Have Superior Gameplay

That’s because The Witcher was praised for its story, but some players complained about the predictable gameplay. Therefore, Cyberpunk 2077 will offer something completely different.

“Which means there are many ways to complete missions based on how you’ve created your character, tools you use, etc,” Tomaszkiewicz continued. “And I think this is something that makes our game different from The Witcher. Because in The Witcher we had a basic loop in the gameplay, finding non-linearity in the narrative section. This time the gameplay will also have a non-linear character. I think this is where the big difference lies in terms of the complexity of our missions, compared to The Witcher.”

The game is also expected to come with various weapons. The shooting mechanics will be combined with the first person point of view and it appears that the studio prepared something special for this. “We have a good amount of mechanics that are based on this concept which we have not yet shown, so stay tuned,” concluded Tomaszkiewicz.
