WhatsApp fans who are enrolled in the beta program should make sure to keep their smartphones connected to a stable Wi-Fi network because a new update which sports the 2.19.144 version number is going to pop up in their notifications panel any moment now. This is an important update and all WhatsApp users should download it as soon as possible because it comes with an important security fix.
Security Fix
As previously noted, WhatsApp’s developers pride themselves with the user security that the chatting app offers. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the latest update for WhatsApp which sports the 2.19.144 beta version number introduces an important fix for the bug that made it possible for hackers to access WhatsApp data.
The security fix is called “CVE-2019-3568” and it takes care of WhatsApp’s security flaws. We should note that the new update also comes with a bunch of other bug fixes that take care of minor issues.
