Can’t open or load Candy Crush on your PC? Here’s what to do.
Candy Crush stands out as one of the most exciting games around, with respect to its relative popularity, as well as its cross platform support for both mobile and desktop/laptop operating systems.
However, for some reasons, the PC version of game has been blighted with several forms of errors, prime among which is the loading error.
In this piece, we’ll be showing you how to fix this.
Fix: Candy Crush Not Loading on PC
As one of the few mobile games with designated support for PC, Candy Crush is literally a game changer in the gaming world. However, there have been complaints of instability, which affects the various series of the game on PC.
The cause of this has been attributed to issues with the game, and/or those associated with the hosting PC.
In any case, below are some troubleshooting methods you can try:
Method 1: Run App Troubleshooter
This is a repair tool specially designed for fixing errors on apps installed on PC, particularly PCs running on Windows 10. So, you can try this tool to repair the game.
To use this tool, follow the steps below:
- Open Start menu: click Windows icon.
- Click Settings.
- Click on Apps & Features.
- Find and select the Candy Crush game.
- Click on Advanced options.
- Select Repair.
- Confirm action as prompted and wait for it.
Try launching the game and see if it now loads fine.
Method 2 Update PC
Try and check for updates, and install the available ones. This could fix the error, provided the initial issue is system-specific.
Normally, on Windows 10, updates are automatically installed. However, if the auto-update option is disabled, you can go to: Start > Settings > Update apps automatically. And enable as it.
If the problem persists after installing available updates, try the next method.
Method 3: Reinstall
This is quite safe, provided you have your progress and data logged on Facebook or Kingdom.
Simply navigate to: Start > Settings > Apps & Features > Candy Crush (Series) > Uninstall. And confirm action. Then, go to Microsoft Store and reinstall the newest version of the game.
After reinstallation, launch the game and retrieve data (progress and laurels among others) from Facebook or Kingdom.
This should work.
