WhatsApp is such a powerful chatting app that it basically changed the way people communicate when it launched. No one needs to send traditional texts or place phone calls when they can use WhatsApp’s features instead. WhatsApp reached such a peak in popularity that every business that wanted to have an online presence needed to create a WhatsApp account in order to communicate with its customers.
Seeing that WhatsApp is now a “must-have” for businesses, the developers of the chatting app created WhatsApp Business. This is a special edition of the chatting app that targets businesses which want to offer their customers full-time support and also to have a platform where they can receive feedback. Nonetheless, WhatsApp Business has recently been updated and today we are going to present everything there is to know about the new release.
WhatsApp Business 2.19.63 Update
If you enjoy WhatsApp Business, then we have some great news to share with you. A brand-new update which sports the 2.19.63 version number has been released earlier this morning and the developers are now pushing it out via OTA (over the air) channels to all users.
Improved Security
One of the things that sets WhatsApp Business apart from all other chatting apps is the high price that the app places on user security. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the new update for the chatting app comes with a new security fix called “CVE-2019-3568”.
New Features
The update doesn’t only come with a new security fix, it also introduces a handful of new features that we are going to list below.
- New features on WhatsApp Web. You can now view label indicators and filter by labels using the chat list filtering icon when using WhatsApp Web. Filtering by unread messages, groups, and broadcast lists isn’t supported on WhatsApp Web.
- Share short links (wa.me/your_number). Create and share short links that make it easy for customers to start a chat with you.
