Today, in this post, we are going to be showing you how to hide online status in GBWhatsApp.
GBWhatsApp is an “amplified” model of the popular instant messaging app – WhatsApp. It comes with a handful of tweaked features, which enable users to do much more than what is obtainable on the standard – official – WhatsApp app.
One of the key features here is the one that enables you to hide your online status, making you invisible to your contacts. And in this tutorial, we’ll be showing you how to apply this feature.
How to Hide Online Status in GBWhatsApp
This feature is not exactly new, as it’s also present in the standard – official – version of WhatsApp, in form the “Last seen” setting. However, by hiding your online status on WhatsApp (setting “Last seen” to “Nobody”), the online status of others would be hidden from you as well. This is not the case on GBWhatsApp, as you’re able to stay invisible, while your contacts’ online statuses remain visible to you.
Surprisingly, however, a number of GBWhatsApp users have no idea how to apply this feature, despite having knowledge of it. If you belong to this category, herein is your saving grace.
Outlined below is a simple step-by-step guide to hide your online status in GBWhatsApp:
- Launch GBWhatsApp.
- Navigate to the chat tab.
- Locate the menu icon (at top right-hand corner) and tap on it.
- In the bridged window, find and select Privacy.
- On the displayed options, select the Hide Online Status
- Confirm action (if prompted).
- Allow the app to auto-restart.
- And you’re all set!
With this, your online status (last seen) would remain hidden for everyone, for as long as the setting is in place.
Also, you may want to freeze your “last seen”. This way, the “freezing time” would be maintained as your last seen for as long as you want. To apply this setting, follow the steps below:
- Set your WhatsApp’s Last Seen to “Everyone”: Account > Privacy > Last Seen.
- Then, hide online status in GBWhatsApp: Privacy > Hide Online Status.
- You are all set.
